There you are. I was afraid we mighta scared you off.
actually i never considered barre chords very difficult. switching between open chords continues to be a problem for me.Well, I think you've got a good start, so it'll come along with practice. I think I read somewhere that it takes 400 repetitions of something for it to become "muscle memory." (Kids, don't try to get that all in with just one practice session.)
and yeah as far as drumming i DO have a tune in my head when i practice. i change for choruses, bridges, etc... i also like to imagine a 12 bar blues when i drum and play accordingly. but the drummer jokes, i've heard them all don't worry about it  :)Good for you. Keep on rockin', with whatever instrument(s).
Being a former drummer myself I have to ask if a drummer would get drummer jokes. :? We must be smarter...................... breaking drumsticks is way cheaper than breaking guitars.
Pickup alignment can make perfect sense (even if seemingly impossible). Google ChordBender & go to their photo gallery. Click on more info. You can sometimes do this while the guitar is together: remove pickguard screws, try scootching plate around until it matches this great alignment, if it can, put it back the way it was, fill the old holes with wood glue & measured round toothpick ends, wipe off glue, put plate where you want it (no need to allow glue to dry), use an ice pick to start a screw hole where you want it, install that screw, scootch plate around a bit again & do an opposite screw hole, now complete the rest. Check the stores: no rhyme or reason or consistency (except for this model).
