just resurfacing the battle axe here:
nick, i agree that the adjusting the truss rod does not adjust the action,
but it AFFECTS it ;)
Never call a shovel "an ingenious hole-digging instrument"

that's what I wrote.
You don't use the truss rod to adjust action. You use it to adjust relief.
You use nut height, saddle height, bridge height to adjust action.
