TR, do you like to talk about how quiet and peaceful the MICU is tonight?

Its good to take some rest between playing hours.

I find it nice and an effective method not to smashing the guitar against the front wall when I am not able to play anything decent.

No wonder it also does good to your arm and fingers.

Relax and repeat.

Good Luck !

It is a good idea to take frequent breaks when attempting a marathon practice session. Besides, practice can be other than just playing the guitar. There is theory practice, sight reading and if you are into signing and writing there is also vocal practice and lyric writing.

Also, a break for something to drink or calls of nature. Put the guitar down, stretch your legs, back , arms and yes even your hands and fingers. Take a walk or watch a half hour sitcom, then its back to the guitar rested and refreshed.

These are some of my techniques to be able to put in marathon practice sessions with injuring myself. Besides, isn't better to take a half hour break every once in a while than to have to take three or four days off?

Happy Practicing!
