HI to all,
Just thought I would add to your east song database, with what I think is the easiest song in the world.
Hope it not already been posted as I'm not going to trawl through all the preceding posts.
But anyway here it is.

BAD MOON RISING

Start with this for the intro but remember to use an up stoke for the first 3 Ds
in your strum pattern so your pattern should look like this

D D D D A A G G D D D
/ / / / / / / / / / /

D A G D
I see a bad moon arisin'
A G D
I see troubles on the way
A G D
I see earthquakes and lightning
A G D
I see bad times today
G D
Well don't go round tonite, it's bound to take your life
A G D
There's a bad moon on the rise

I hear hurricanes a blowin'
I know the end is coming soon
I feel rivers over flowing
I hear the voice of rage & ruin

G D
Well don't go round tonite, it's bound to take your life
A G D
There's a bad moon on the rise

solo - chords are the same as verse just dont sing (spose you could just whistle)

Hope you got your things together
Hope you are quite well prepared to die
Looks like we're in for nasty weather
One eye is takin' for an eye

G D
Well don't go round tonite, it's bound to take your life
A G D
There's a bad moon on the rise

G D
Well don't go round tonite, it's bound to take your life
A G D
There's a bad moon on the rise
and there you have it. probably the easiest song you will ever learn.

Just had a look at the preview and it seems as though the chord letters are coming up in the wrong places but once you start playing it you will automatically know where they go. Yes its that easy !

Hi Rodders, and welcome to GN!

First the bad news....yes, this has been done a couple of times before!!!
Secondly the good news.....seems there's quite a few of us CCR fans, there are several of their songs in here.....

Easiest way of getting chords to line up?

Well, first write your tab out in Notepad or Word (I prefer Notepad, but that's just me...) then enter new topic....Type out Subject name, then underneath the subject bar you'll see a list of options....click on the box marked "code" then paste in your tab......and if you want to see what it looks like, click on "preview" instead of "submit"....you'll then see what it'll look like when posted, and will be able to make any adjustments by using the "edit" function.

Hope this helps.

Vic.

Hi Vic, its been a while but I finaly got round to coding this one so it now looks a lot better.
One thing I have found since I posted this is a nice way of playing the D at the end of
D A G D
I see a bad moon arisin'

And that is if you alternate the D with a D6 it sounds really good.

So it plays like this
D A G D D6 D D6 D D6
I see a bad moon arisin'

Keep the same strumming pattern going but just drop your pinky on the G string at the 4th
fret every now and again

There's also this nice little riff that goes under those chord changes
D D6 D D6 D D6
E:----------------------------------------------
B:--3--------------------3----------------------
G:----------4----------------4-----2------------
D:---------------3-h-4------------------3-p-0---
A:----------------------------------------------
E:----------------------------------------------

Still love playing this one after all this time
