Seasons Greetings to one and all:
First heard this way back in time. Bought a cheap Elvis Christmas LP on RCA Camden in Woolies one Christmas mid 70's. It's just a classic. Lost the LP yonks ago. Luckily found this version on a Country tab site. It works great. Easy chords too! Go on impress the relatives Christmas night!
Use a Capo on fret 2 for the key Elvis used.
Strum pattern? I here you all cry! Oh God (This is my first attempt at this, tell me if its wrong!) DDDDD_UUD I think
Where are Matt and Vic when I need them!

Ah barre chords! guess what! I haven't tried the walkdown
The guitar is all right John but you'll never make a living out of it! (John Lennon's Aunt Mimi)
hiya Chris!
Sorry don't know the strum pattern so well done for having a go, as far as the walkdown goes, you can use a really easy one even with open chords.
On the G to the E just imagine what's happening to the low E string, you're going from fretting it on the 3rd fret, to playing it open.
So on the G, play it normally, then on the low E string just do
3 - 2 - 0 to get you back to E. Its just a question of getting the timing of this right so it sounds ok, but sure you;ll be able to play around with it.
Nice xmassy song mate!
Have a strummy kinda christmas
All the best
Matt
Use a Capo on fret 2 for the key Elvis used. .
Capo is on my Christmas list, so I guess I'll have to wait til then (hopefully) to try that key.
Rob
Well I got this guitar and I'm tryin' to learn how to make it talk.
