This one is wicked old. 1965, I think. What's worse than showing my age, is that I went through this this afternoon and thought I had hit the submit button, but I guess I didn't. I didn't see it posted anywhere.

So, the this song can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WzPjJm9iAI for those that don't remember it or have never heard it. Truly and old Stones staple.

So, following in the tradition of easy, it's done with some pretty basic chords. The toughest might be the C7 or the F chord. Use the easy F chord until you can do the full barred, but do switch when you can. It sounds much better using the full barre for this one. The C7 is just a C with your picky hitting the G string on the third fret.

The G7? They only play that chord's bottom three strings. So, fret 1 on the high E and strike the G,B and E strings. Simple enuff.
Heart Of Stone - Rolling Stones

Into:
[G7] [C] [G7] [C]

The[G7]re have been so [C]many [C7]girls that I've [F]known
[D] I've made so many cry [G]and still I wonder why
[Am] Here comes the little girl
I see her walking down the street
She's all by herself
I try and knock her off her feet
But she'll [F]never break, never break, never break, never break[G]
This heart of [Am]stone. Oh, no, no this heart of [C]stone [G]

What's different a[C]bout her?
I [C7]don't really [F]know. [D] No matter how I try
[G7] I just can't make her cry

[Solo here] 4 bars of Am rhythm or 4 bars of Am Pentatonic scale based lead

But she'll [F]never break, never break, never break, never [G]break
[G]This heart of [Am]stone. Oh, no, no, no this heart of [C]stone [G]

Don't keep on [C]looking that [C7]same old [F]way
[D] If you try acting sad, [G] you'll only make me glad
[Am]Better listen little girl
You go on walking down the street
I ain't got no love, I ain't the kind to meet
'Cause you'll [F]never break, never break, never break, never [G]break
[G] This heart of [Am]stone. Oh no, no you'll never break
This heart of [C]stone, darlin'. No, no,[G] this heart of [Am]stone
You'll never break it, darlin'. [C]You won't break this heart of [G]stone.
Oh, no, no, [Am]no. You better go, you better go [C]home

Song fades quickly

Hey Roy, thanks for the great song. I used to play this long time ago, but it's been so long I'd forgotten how it goes. Just went through it, sounds great. There are some cool little bass runs between the chords on this song too.

Thanks again,

Wes
