Bob Dylan has some insanely easy songs, but I'm still having trouble picking out the strumming pattern for them.
For example, does anyone know the strumming patterns to either "To Ramona" and/or "It Ain't Me, Babe"? Those are both relatively easy songs with easy transitions.
And, just before I go, I already know you all have this bookmarked .. but http://www.dylanchords.com/ is the site for Dylan chords. Period.
Thanks in advance.
may be they are not so simple :D
i.e. both "Knocking or heavens' door" and "Blowin in the wind" are based upon sixtheen notes which are not the most easy thing to play for a beginners. In any case if you can play 16s notes try patterns like
D Ddu D ddu for each measure
or dd ddu dd ddu
He also uses several folk-type strums like
D/du/udu (1,2and, and, 4and)
D/du/uD(1,2and,and,4)
Matteo
Dudu/udu(1and, 2and, and, 4and)
I play Mr. tambourine Man (well in the Byrds version) with a dudu/udu pattern
ehm yesterday I listened to Dylan's "Mr. tambourine man" and it seems me that the folk-strum is not so apt to play it, I'll check it again and let you know
Matteo

To Ramona is in 3/4 time, so you could play it very simply with a D-d-d / D-d-d or with dudud/dudud. The key is getting the 3/4 rhythym down.
Blame it on the lies that killed us, blame it on the truth that ran us down.
Huh, I couldn't find the link to "it ain't me babe" and rather that create a new post for this one, here it is.

It really doesn't matter how Dylan strums it. Think of your own strum pattern that works. Or fingerpick some arpeggio patterns...
