Probably too obvious, but don't forget that you'll need to connect from the PC's MIDI-out to the controller's MIDI-in.

ya. that one is easy. my midi controller only has one port. righht off I don't remember if it is IN or OUT.
regardless the computer and midid recognize one another.
maybe my controller is too old. maybe I need a more modern version....IN, OUT. PASS Thru.
