I've been confused about a few terms (some refer to drumming, but i think some are universal). One of the terms is "playing over the barline", another one is a "linear pattern". As well as "Augmentation", "Diminuation", "Tehais", "Metric Modulation and Beat Displacement" and finally "Musical form".
