What do I do if I'm a guitarist with the same name as a very famous guitarist. Should I adopt a stage name?
If not, would this be a problem if I start trying to copywrite songs under my name?
Better to ask John Williams - either the composer or the guitarist.

Actually, it's Davy Jones... But ask him, or, as stated, John Williams or Tom Yoder... Many examples. It's your name, if you like it, then keep it.
But then... I thought John Williams was one person. I should have such problems.
