Judgement Day

Well this is my first post ever so I beg for kindness. I have only recently begun to attempt to create songs from my poetic musings and I have a great distance to travel before I become inspirational I know. I offer this for your review and comment. I hear this with a medium tempo island feel – with a whole lot of tongue in cheek.

Judgement Day

I pack my things in preparation for the trip
Pull together everything I need
Push and tug trying to get the case to zip
I best leave behind my sprouting seed

The train is getting ready to leave they say
Gathering every soul for the judgement day
I am sure he will ticket me for a ride
There I go again – full of pride

The bag I packed is filled to the top
Heavy with the burden of my life of sin
When I get to the gate I'll say howdy pop
I hope he's forgiving and just let's me in

hey, i like it - its alot different from the usual stuff that is written , and i dont mean to sound rude about that, its jst taht everyone -including myself- is hooked on the mushy love stuff or the broken heart stuff and its like i keep hearin the same thing in different songs over and over again. This one is more unique and I give you props for that. and just wondering, do you have a way of singing it yet? because it seems a bit short, tho i know that some songs depending on how they are played and sung are actually longer than their lyrical count make out..... again not meanin to sound rude, but umm - mike, was that worth it? that post? was it not pointless???

Well, people write about what they know about. If all they know is love or their broken heart or along those lines whose to say they can't? It may get written about over & over but its better than people writing about something they don't know anything about. But of course you understand since you said you were part of the whole writing about love ordeal. Right?

Anyway, Zim, good job. There is nothing I like more than anything else. It is all really good.
