The first few bars indicate that he starts off in D (the GMaj7 - IV in D - reinforces that) - he plays every note in the scale, D, E, F#, G, A, B, C#, D. That doesn't mean he plays the whole tune in D, though - follow the score.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

i solo in D Major over GMaj7, Bb lydian over Bbmaj7b5, D major over D, C Major over D/C, B lydian again over Bbmaj7, G lydian over G/a, F lydian over F/G, and D major over A7/E and D. just not sure if im using the right scales.
