I always thought SRV used Fenders. I am sure at times he used many different amps.
According to GuitarGeeks, this was his rig.
If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
That's his rig.
"On the far left stands a 100-watt Marshall JCM 800 half stack. Next to it is a 150-watt Dumble Steel String Singer head on top of a Dumble 4x12 bottom. Peeking out from the back is a blonde '64 Fender Twin (85 watts and 2 12" speakers). Stacked next to the Dumbles are Stevie's cherished '64 Fender Vibroverbs (they are consecutivly numbered: 5 and 6; Stevie was very proud of having obtained such low serial numbers). Completing the lineup is a pair of 200-watt Marshall heads (a Super Lead and a Super P.A.) sitting atop Marshall 4x15 and 8x10 cabinets."
Effects are kept to a minimum, you'ed probably want a Hot Rod or JCM 800 as far as amps go.
Now thats a killer setup!
The first time I heard a Beatles song was "Let It Be." Some little kid was singing along with it: "Let it pee, let it pee" and pretending he was taking a leak. Hey, that's what happened, OK?-some guy
