Buy one for me, then you won't have enough money to get yourself one.

Ok now that's funny.

The only thing I found wrong with that guitar is I don't have one.

Thanks guys (and lady) for all your help! I visited the Denver Guitar Center, since I happened to be in the neighborhood anyway for business today - MUCH better than my local GC in Colorado Springs, but that is another story!

Anyway, played a black model through the amp I have at home (a Crate V16 tube amp) - SWWEEEEETTTT!!! Doesn't look bad either! I was able to dial in several very nice tones. :D Played it for about a half hour. The salesman was very helpful, knowledgable abd friendly - also NOT like my local GC! The only problem I had, was that some kid was 15 feet away trying to sound like a shredder on a half stack! :x

But, I am PROUD to report that I did NOT go home with the guitar! I am going to buy it, or another one just like it, but I want to trade in one or maybe two guitars for it!

Very nice guitar - next time you hit the guitar shop, plug one in and take it for a spin.

First you ask us to help you with your addiction and now you've become a dealer. You should be ashamed!

Obviously some "member management" worked :)

I've always fancied a hollow-body...

Trouble is i don't have a lot of room...and can't really play as well as I'd like to be able to...

Wait! Isn't this how the '51 Frenzy started?

Rich:

I said, just take one for a spin - I didn't suggest anyone BUY one!

Is this how the '51 craze began? If so, forget I said anything! I don't want to be responsible for everyone being broke when the Christmas bills start rolling in!

I have had my eye on one for a while now. I would love to try one out, but I haven't seen a lefty at the loacal GC. I know I can order it in lefty, but I would love to at least be able to play it first.

Another lefty!

Anyhow, yes, I had to go look one up:

...and...I shouldn't've.

And then there was this one:

...and that made it worse.

And then the standard (for me):

...and that conversation about humbucker-size P90s, and... ;)

Yeah, something like that..but there was the $99 factor. At $500+, the frenzy is likely to be less intense... :-)

Right before Thanksgiving I picked up a lefty Dot in Tobacco Sunburst. It was a "factory second" so it came in about $250 and it's been really sweet to play. Granted it's a step down from the Sheraton, but for my needs it's close to perfect.

Look around at eBay and you're bound to find a good lefty deal on most things if you're patient.

Peace

oh-ho, tobacco burst :D

Yup there was a cherry dot lefty in there too around the same time, for pretty cheap.

'Cept...my interests also (or more) lay in the thicker bodied fellows - like the Rondo Cool Cat. I used to really crave a 175, but I started to like venetian cutaways more than the florentine, and so...

I just wish they'd put that one out in a nice tobacco or 'heritage' burst like in the '40s. That through a fuzzbox = instant Steve Howe.

Fingering, writing, passion and talent notwithstanding ;)

Well, I bought one on Ebay for $341! I wanted a black one, but the price on this natural was too good to pass up.

I was looking on Ebay and most used Sheratons sell for around $400. I think this guy didn't get the bidding up that high, because the pictures aren't great. It should be here well before the 25th, so this is a Christmas present for me! I am going to have to sell one of my American Strats to make room, so I may be posting soon in the Swap Meet!
