i downloaded both but they came out as like real player files so i cant really run them? what did i do wrong
You need to also download the Power Tab editor program so you can play the power tab files.

YOu need to disable midi playback in Realplayer. Is Powertab editor working for you? The program has a playier in it. There is a transport bar like in a DAW at the top of the screen. By the way, if you haven't figured it out already, the tabs come as zipped files.
