I've got a wine red Mexi Strat too... Strangely, my knobs and pup covers don't match my guard. The guard is a stark white, but the knobs and covers are slight off-white. On that note, one of my string trees is vintage style and one is the newer MIA style...

HA! John Mayer does use the red tortoise on the dark sunburst for his sig strat. now THAT'S a sweet lookin guitar

when i go to buy a new tuner...my old Korg bit the dust and seeing as i am slightly hearing impaired, i need a good tuner.
God save us! Those things break????

well i will check it out next time i go to GC...they had a ton of the tortoise pickguards.

warmoth rocks. a Fender replacement parchment pickguard - $60.
Warmoth pickguard AND trem cover AND knobs AND pickup covers COMBINED - $58.
sounds lovely to me.
