LOL!!!!!
Me, too.
My first GAS.
Wife is like...WT* was that?  :D
LMAO.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- "WOW--What a Ride!"
I like that Taylor! The two that I posted are THE two guitars that I must own someday. Actually, add an electric acoustic, and those would be the only guitars I'd ever want and/or need. OK, maybe a Gibson LP, but my Epi LP does what I need in that department (plus I'll never sell it) so I'll probably never own one.

I have the Taylor in trans black over flamed maple -- doesn't look nearly as nice as that koa. Guess I should have held out ...
Here's one I've been thinking about:

gnease,
They still don't have the T5 at GC yet. Is the input jack on the bottom right instead of in the back strap button? It looks like it. Thanks
For the thread, no I don't have any gas right now.
I simply don't understand it myself. :?

The jack is in "Les Paul" position, but without a jack plate (mounted right in the rim wood). BTW, there are two rear (bottom) strap buttons -- guess to make it easy to stand on end, though that seems a somewhat risky proposition.
Also the place I bought my custom maple version -- Russo Music in Hamilton, NJ -- sold it for $300 less than MF's online/catalog price. since MF = GC, might want to watch out on the price.

Thanks gnease! I just want to play the darn thing! Still can't get my hands on one though. :(
Thanks for the tip too! My GC carries a fair amount of Taylor's (that's where I bought my 310CE) that is why I go there, but just to check it out (T5). I don't have the money for one, but one of these days I will.
Thank you
It's taken me 2 days to get through this thread - a little bit at a time is all I can stand - and so far I've managed to avoid the dreaded GAS.....
Could have something to do with the guitars I already have....
and not forgetting, of course, our old friend "the mystery guitar"
but.....sigh....if I could find room for one more guitar, it'd be this one....
That's Frank Rossi of Status Quo, onstage at Liverpool in July....
The Green Fender Telecaster is an original 1957 model, which Francis bought for £70 in 1968 and has been his main guitar ever since.
Over the years he has had some of the original Telecaster fittings replaced, using G&L parts which help the sustain and the intonation. It now has three pickups, which work in a Stratocaster configuration.
The gauge of the strings Francis uses are: .09 .11 .16 .26w 34w 46w.

I've been suffering for a bit... this one kills me, but it's so far out of any sort of reasonable price range, I just have to suck it up and snivel.
List is about 10k:

wow, that seems nice for $400, i wonder if the agiles can compete with that?

Vic, what model is the acoustic sunburst yamaha? I love it. I strummed one similar to it at the LMS and wish I wouldve bought it but now I cant find one, I think yamaha is an excellent guitar for the price.
Thinkin' bout the times we had
Some were good and some were bad
guitar fightin' the tv
i was thinkin bout you and me
Yamaha FX-340CF....cost £200, but it's kind of redundant since I bought the SPT off Nick....the Yamaha's nice, I bought it because I needed an acoustic with a cut-away....then when Nick told me about the guitar he was selling, I REALLY wanted that.....such a sweet tone, it hasn't got a p/u but I really don't care... it's the guitar I've dreamed of playing all my life....
I sold the Yamaha yesterday for £150, the money was nice, will pay half my outstanding bills.....but to be honest, I'd rather have sold one of my kids......
