I'm loving the new guitar. I had been playing it so much that my finger tips started to hurt..........

The muddiness is more or less gone after I've had time to mess with the EQ on my amp, and pedal. There is no hum whatsoever. My old guitar had a lot of hum, it was worse when I was close to the amp. But this one, I can be standing right next to it and nothing.

I love the shape too. Not just the look either. It's really comfortable and so far, is the only shape I can play sitting down. Every other shape I've tried: acoustic, Les Paul, Strat and SG would fall off my lap. This one stays put. I might just have to stick with this shape on future guitars.

And I did take the olives off my fingers and gave them a good burial in the mashed potatoes.

Glad to hear it's working out for you. I too think that explorers are very comfortable, they're just great feeling guitars.

You said the muddiness is gone, did you lower the bridge pickup after, or was adjusting the eq's enough?

Vacate is the word...Vengance has no place on me or her...Cannot find a comfort in this world.

excellent news. you found each other.
when one likes the guitar one ends up playing it more.
sounds like you are there.

most guitars come with thin strings; 9's,. I always switch to 10s.

I would reccomend changing your strings if you havent.
props OneWing on your new 'buddy'....couldnt think of a proper handle.
