There's this magical MIM strat in Strait Music(in Austin) that I've been dying to buy, and it has a rosewood fingerboard. To tell you the truth, nobody can tell you which is better, it's truly a personal prefrence. Hendrix used both rosewood, and maple. Clapton now almost exclusively uses maple. SRV's #1 was rosewood. Muddy Waters Tele was rosewood. It differs. :)
