Do you think tape is ok for the wood? If a pro would install it, do they also use elc tape to secure the wires?

Yeah, I guess? I have a whole dangling battery to secure. That calls for those clips, and sometimes velcro, but we can leave 'em too, especially the wires only, they're light, don't damage anything - they just make that funny clicking or slapping/whipping sound? :|

no, a "pro" would not use electrical tape in this installation. for anything.

for insulating soldered wires (when/if you need to): heat shrinkable tubing

for attaching "flying" wires securely to the inside of the guitar body: at each attachment point, us a small tie-wrap + a tie-wrap adhesive mount (a little plastic squarish device with double sided foam tape on one side and a loop-thru for a tie-wrap on the other). stick the adhesive mount(s) to the rim. dress the wires to "fly" away from the mount and any internal surfaces directly to/from the pup and from/to the jack. I'm assuming you did or will install a jack.

IIRC, even an active version of the Fishman Rare Earth uses coin cells, so you should not need to mount a battery.
