last year my guitar cracked and i broght it in for a repair for which i paid around $100. when it was first repaired you couldn't tell that it ever had a crack in it. i also bought a hard shell case for it and i keep it in there wil a dampit and even some sponges. this year the crack opened up a bit. not as bad as the original crack but you can see it. is this normal? will it go away again? orshould i bring it back to where it was repaired? was it a bad repair job? should i just not worry about it?
Check the humidity. You could be over humidifying which is just as bad as under.
If you paid that much for a repair, it's at least worth a shot to take it back, and see if they'll fix it for free. At least, i'd try it...
how is over humidifying bad? maybe the glue loosened?
over humidifying will cause the wood to swell, glue joints will fail, and the neck angle will go bad.
Just get yourself a $20 hygrometer from Radio Shack and you will know.
If you are sticking extra sponges in the guitar, stop.
