I recently purchased an Ibanez Ewc30. The battery compartment was heavily corroded no sound coming out from the jacks but the tuner working fine and showing correct notes.
I have a good hobby electronics lab at home and test lots of combination and parts but no luck finding the fault. How can I test the pick up secretly to see if the fault is in the pickup or preamp? Please let me know if you need more details.

Will it be better to contact the seller and send it back? You just purchase it and there's a problem already, have it replace.
