I bought a Fender acoustic here in Korea with the Shadow P7 pickup on it. I tried it in the store thru an amp and it was working fine. I brought it home, restrung it, and now when I try to play it thru an amp or try to record thru my m audio fasttrack, both E strings are not picked up. I can hear the A, D, G, B strings fine, but the e and E strings aren't being picked up. It's odd. I have the guitar basically apart trying to figure it out, but it seemed everything was plugged in right and there are no hanging solder joints anywhere from what I can see. Any suggestions? Thanks!

that is odd. you should return the purchase asap. hopefully, you didnt void any warranty by opening it up to see what was wrong.

If you can't take it back, you might trying making sure that the saddle is seated correctly in the slot. Sometimes when changing strings, the saddle piece will bind a little bit and the bottom of it won't make good physical contact with the transducer. I found this pdf http://www.shadow-pickups.com/images/P4-P7%20Manual.pdf

It shows that sometimes the saddle tilts a little, again making it not make full contact with the transducer strip underneath.

Hope this helps.
