sounds cool...I think your voice is fine, I wouldn't be worried about it.

How are you recording this stuff, I want to try to do some recording, maybe you could give me some pointers...

your tone is so sterile

you need help with that big time, try micing your amp

your voice needs power behind it

try taking some effects of it turning the level down and singing louder

i remember hearing you in another forum a while back and i remembered you when i heard your horrible tone, no offense

your playing is great but your tone is dead

keep on jammin

peace

Then again, I don't think people who have been playing for about one and a half year should be so worried about tone. Concentrating on actually learning to play instead of the ideal position of the mic seems smart to me...

nah tone is very important, and no matter how long youve been playing, if your good enough to play what he did in his recordings your good enough to worry abut tone

its not really a matter of where you put the mic just a matter of playing with your gear, my tone absolutly blows his out of the water, but judging by hisrecrdings he is a better guitarist than me,

no one should live with bad tone

I had to listen to your recording to get an idea what machavo is talking about but after listening I have to agree. The tone is not good. But like muchavo said your palying is great.

Rich I've listened to your stuff since you've been on this site and I'm very impressed with your progress and playing, your definitely dedicated and are going to be a good player.

I'm sure finding a better tone shouldn't be that difficult, just a matter of fooling around with amp/fx settings. It would have made Voodoo Chile much better.

Keep it up.

I think tone criticisms are reasonable, especially if offered contructively -- and Muchavo did provide a couple of suggestions.
