I'm looking into the battery powered portable amps. I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with them. I am thinking in the $50 range. Here are some i have been looking at:
I just love the look of the mini marshall stack and most people say it's pretty good.

Also i have read that the original rockman portable amps are supposed to be really good, but the new ones aren't(i think the company got sold).
Guitars: Electric: Jackson DX10D, J. Reynolds Fat Strat copy

I have a Vox DA-5.
It's OK, but I prefer to use to Marshall I have so I don't use it much.
Can't go past a Roland Micro Cube either....

I know a little bit about a lot of things, but not a lot about anything...
Looking for people to jam with in Sydney Oz.......
Gordon Smith GS1.5-40 Marshall VS65R
I think i'll either save up for the roland micro cube or get the orange micro crush.
I'm leaning towards the roland because it has 6 effects(chorous, flanger etc.). The orange micro crush looks sweet but how is the overdrive on it?
Oh, and thanks for the input so far.

And the original Pig Nose!
I've got one of those Fender mini-twin things, I'm not very impressed with it. I'd say go for the Roland micro cube or one of the pignoses.
The Vox-DA5 has like 11 different tones. Something like that.
It's a nice lil toy.

I've got a Danelectro Honeytone around here somewhere. It's kind of a one-trick pony, but for a moderately distorted sound it sounds pretty good.

thanks for all the help, i haven't decided which one but i will post a review when i get one.

I think i will because it has a rechargable battery wheras the vox uses like 6-C batteries.
