Ok I am thinking of asking for the ad30vt for my birthday. I know people will think great amp first then effects but i am a kid and have my whole life to play guitar plus i dont have a job yet so i dont get any money. I like this amp because it has a lot of amp models and effects for relatively low cost. I tried it out and it seemed good. Any comments on this purchase? Also you can go to musicians friend and search for vox ad30vt and hear it.
That would make a good choice. You'll have fun playing and experimenting with the all it has to offer. I recommend equipment that I use or have used, I know most don't have the means to be getting some of the equipment I use. Everyone has to start somewhere. Many folks have asked how do you get your guitar to sound the way I do. First off it's lots and lots of hard work and practice. I was once a staving musician just like many coming up the ranks now. I just wanted to be a better guitar player than most and thats what I worked on, along with being the best person I could be.
I also recommend staying in school and graduating, then going on to get a degree in music and electronics. I use to couldn't wait to get home from school do my home work, then a few chores to keep my parents happy, then spend the rest of the night practicing, weekends I was happy right at home playing guitar. My playing was more important than anything else.
Just a couple added thoughts.
