Here's the article, with some video clips and a message that Tom wrote dhortly before he died.
For those who hadn't heard of him, he spent the last 50 years as a singer-songwriter singing about Canada to Canadians.
I doubt that he was well known in the rest of the world, but here everyone knows his music.
