Yeah, by all means refer your surgeon neighbor here. There's plenty of room for another pyromaniac in the neighborhood.

Great news, Ethan! Perhaps your surgeon neighbour could get together with Ricochet, Smokindog and TR Guitar and do a version of Spirit In The Sky - they could call themselves "Doctors and the Medics......."

Take it easy with that hand - don't try and rush it!

:D :D :D

Yes, actually. The stitches comed out Tuesday, the cast a few weeks after that. I get a pass for all my exams, so I avoid summer school. I can still crew for the race on June 30th, although I can't enter now. (I would have lost anyway )

And, I found the best forum ever a few months ago, just after Christmas :D

I used to be in a jam band with a bunch of docs. Oddly enough, all Canadian docs and Eugene our bass player and organiser moved home to St. Johns and that's when we dispanded. Well, Jim, the other guitarist's skiing accident shattering both arms didn't help. I haven't seen him since or else I would guide him Ric's way. I hope he is able to play again. Chris was our keyboard man and a couple of X-Ray techs rounded us out on vocals and drums.

That, for me, is always the worst part. Seems like special training is given for that particular part of nursing - anyone without a degree in butchery from the University of the Marquis de Sade need not apply. Funny how you don't feel them going in, but you sure as hell do feel them coming out!

Remember - take it easy!!!

Well, Vic was right. Taking the stitches out sucked royally. No more swelling though, no infection, and recovery should be speedy from here on in :D

Well that's good news! So how long are you hoping it'll be before things are back to normal? I was about a month before I could even hold a barre chord down....that finger stubbornly refused to co-operate for a while! Try not to get too frustrated if everything doesn't come back straight away, it will come back in time.

It's good to hear you are mending well. Don't rush it too much, or you could set yourself back further.

Maybe you could play around with some slide for a change as your strength is coming back.

:)
