Dog,

I'm in the DC area - northern VA. I think there may be some other folks in the area too - including Nick. Might be fun to arrange a summer jam. We can see who else responds and take it from there.

That would be cool. I'm thinking about getting a South Carolina Jam together, maybe in Greenville SC :?: --the dog

Oh yeah, I'm a Southern boy all the way. Still have my accent, even after 23 years in Ct.

I used to get asked everyday where I'm from. Now, just once in awhile. But when I go down to see family, they say I talk like a Yankee!

Count me in for a possible southern jam. South Carolina is a long way from here (Mobile, AL), but I think I could package it to the wife, maybe. A getaway weekend for us....yeah, that's it.

I have the same problem in reverse  . I moved from NW Indiana( 35 mi. SE of Chicago) to Paducah Kentucky back in 1983, Then to Rock Hill in 1999. When I visit home, every one laughs at my southern accent. but I still sound like a Yankee to most southerners

I guess it's time to chime in since my name was thrown about here. I have been lucky to have been able to play with both Wes and The Dog who are both great players. Unfortunately I do not have half as much talent as either one of them but hey it was a blast..plus I'm very self concious of my playing which makes it even worse.

Hopefully I'll get to jam with Wes more now that I am up here. Actually they both were subjected to my horrendous vocal inabilities but I blame my parents for that..bad genes.

I also got to play with 97Reb but I haven't seen him around lately, Charles if your out there Happy New Year.

I think with a few more years practice I might actually feel comfortable playing in front of people, but now that Wes showed me all his neat toys I can't stop now.

To all you guitar lovers out there keep on rockin in the New Year!!

Yes, this post is about you. :D

I was wondering where you were. Anyway, that was lots of fun jamming with you, and it won't be the last.

You are a little too critical of yourself. You played and sang just fine.

I'm glad you got a chance to hear your HRD with an attenuator. What did you think?

By the way, I really liked your MIM Strat. That is a good looking and nice playing guitar. It really sounded good to me through your HRD when it was cranked some. Very nice, natural overdrive, my favorite tone!
