I considered signing but wondered if it's really legitimate for me to sign if I don't live in the community. Do you have any concerns that a number of signatures from people outside the community might invalidate the petition or cause the council members to question its authenticity? It is clearly a good cause you're fighting for and I'd hate to accidentally undermine your efforts.
