Nice space, TR.

But I have one question. Where do you keep the good beer?

Somethings been going on in the man cave!

We put in a floor, it's insulated. We removed the old garage door and built a wall with an entry door. We plan to insulate the walls and add an insulated ceiling as well. I plan to open it up the the house. We intend to heat it and continue year round. It has just been too much fun out there so we had to do it.

And TR beheld what he had made and said,
"It was very good."

(And Ricochet, get rid of that avatar, please!)

Way to go TR and TF! That's got to be up there with one of the best bits of news we've seen for some time. Figure out the heat yet? (edit: I see now where you said you were heating it)

Ric, you're one scary looking babe. Now we know what a Greg Allman & Cher child might have looked like.

No such thing as "too much fun" especially where guitars are involved. You're going to have to re-work "Smoke On The Water" though....

"With a few old lights and an insulated floor, we made a place to sweat,
No matter what we get out of this, I know we'll never forget,

Rockin' in the man cave.....etc"

Bet it's going to look COOOOOOL when it's finished!

BRING BACK THE UNCLE FESTER LOOK....

This could turn into a Bring Back Original Coke style public groundswell. Sign the "We don't like the taste of New Ric" petition!

OH.... Great additions to the Man Cave TR. Love the woodwork. Maybe it's time I got stuck into my own shed....

....Man Cave South.... hmm....

Thanks for the support everyone! Oh, and Ric, you make an ugly woman. Didn't get as much done today. The folks at Lowes love me though. The section in the previous pics without the floor ..... I worked on that today. You see, the garage has a shed roof. 10' at one end, 4' at the other. Add a 4" rise by adding the floor and it makes for a space where a couple of musicians that are over 6' will not tread. I got the idea to make a raised area. It is for amps and speakers and can also act as a great place to sit. Tomorrow I will go to Lowes and buy 2 sheets of OSB and finish off the top, then the equipment goes back out there. It has been nearly a week since I played guitar. I'll take a few days off then start on the walls and ceiling.

"Um...Hello?, I'd like to reserve some time at the TR Recording Studio. What are the hourly rates?"

Looking good there TR! Keep it going. I'm in the process of selling my house. The requisite elements for the new place is going to be a garage I can turn into the man cave. And, I gotta find me one of those Cornholio posters. It's a MUST HAVE for every studio. Right next to the poster of SRV.

Well, 2 weeks is gone and so is my last summer vacation for 2008. I thought I'd share the progress of the Man Cave but instead of clogging this thread up with more pictures I'll give a link to our web page we are building. Everything is there in the Man Cave section.

Simply awesome man. That's one heck of an impressive shelf/sitting idea too, btw. I wish I was closer to help you two enjoy it.

Is the heat just gonna be what comes through the closet door?

Looking good, TR. How long do you reckon it's going to take to finish? Things seem to be moving along pretty briskly!

Roy, it's a MAN-cave - they don't need heat. They'll just wear a few more sabre-tooth tiger pelts.....

:D :D :D

I'm gonna put in a heat run from the furnace. The "Man Cave" sits attached to my bedroom. That addition to the house has always been cold and I found out why. I found an uninsulated wall in the closet! I will tend to that. This project should actually make the house warmer in the winter. Not sure the time for completion. Work has been fast since I have been on vacation but I return to work Friday. There is a bar and a pool table in the future though.
