I remember when you first posted about the recital, and it seemed so far away. The time really HAS gone fast!

I have a huge fear of performing for others, so I feel your anxiety. When I was young, my piano teacher required his upper level students to do a 45-60 minute recital of memorized pieces. I was 15 and he told me it would be my turn the next year. I promptly quit. No way in Hades was I going to do that.

But you've been practicing, so I'm sure you'll be fine.

Break a leg! And let us know how it goes.

I'd prefer the left hand but a leg might do the trick. 8) Seriously though, I have calmed quite a bit since posting yesterday. I was pretty freaked but as I practiced it got much better. I'll be cramming alot again tonight I hope. I figure by Sat all will be well.

Thanks for the encouragment, and the opportunity to make funnies.

Okie dokie. Well the time came and went and really it wasnt that big of deal. I had a great time. I only played "The Eagles Whistle" and decided against playing the other song. I played it three times through. The first time through I felt like I couldnt get my fingers to move. Then some one moved in the audience and it caused to me to look up. When I did that it really calmed me down alot cause I was just playing and not concentrating on making a mistake. The rest of it went pretty smooth. I didnt get any audio but my girlfriend took pics and I will post them later if they are any good.

I was the only adult playing. The rest were children. That was a little weird. But some of the teens were so talented. I was really impressed at what they were doing.

Thats a wrap.

Congratulations! You did it!

Not weird at all. You know there were adults in the audience thinking, "I always thought about learning to play guitar. That guy is doing it instead of just thinking about it. That's pretty cool."
