Based on his mods and what he's said about the construction I decided to take the leap and purchase one. I didn't just purchase the body, but I purchased a SX SST57 Candy Apple Red Strat (The one I thought looked the best only came in short style) and hard shell case. After tax and shipping, $180.
I figure if I want to learn to modify and do setups, the guitar isn't too expensive to replace if a muck it all up completely. :lol:
