Dan, I just sent you a link to the song.
I used a Edgar Allan Poe Poem called "A Campaign Song" (I think He is referring to a military campaign).

I just went crazy with this one and got in touch with my inner metal monster  .Pretty cool BT 8)
I added guitar, bass, organ, and a voice track.(thanks Edgar  )And a Christmas song at the end(couldn't find the kitchen sink)

Got to say, I'm struggling with this one - it's way out of my comfort zone! It's good to stretch yourself though, and I'm persevering - I'll get something down. It won't be anything wonderful though, I can promise you that!

:D :D :D

I've got something down but I'm not overly happy with it.

I'll give it another go this evening but if nothing better emerges from my fingers I'll post what I have regardless.

It's tougher than I thought this one.

I'm looking forward to hearing all of your creations :D (especially OWA's  ) Although if my face melts ...I'll have to cultivate a new look...could be interesting I suppose  )I have to admit that I have been playing more metal lately for some reason. not 80's hair metal  More of the Deep purple mets Metalica variety  I don't really know what I'm doing in this genre, but I do so love jamming in a minor key with a distorted guitar

BTW For a minor key( lets say Dm) I like to put the capo on the 5th fret and play around the Am chord shape.
I have learned from the blue grass players that a capo is a mighty handy tool :D ( and if you want to talk shreding...those guys did it first 8)

Thanks for the update Chuckster. I'm sure it'll sound great.

Still haven't heard from art&lutherie, or ColoradoFenderBender in a long time... you guys still out there? :(

If anyone needs anymore time, we can extend the deadline to hopefully get all the jams in. :)

Smokindog, I go back to the Dr. tomorrow to get the bandages off after OWA melted my face! Guess that's the price you pay when hosting a jam, someone just may send you a face burner! Future hosters be warned!

Just a quick update on the jam -
Looks like art&lutherie is M.I.A. :( Hasn't been on the boards in awhile & not responding to my PM.
Mr. Lewis is on the ball, and we are anxiously awaiting what will no doubt be an awesome performance! 8)

Man I kept saying, when I get a free night....I'm going to throw one down.

Tonight is the free night but nothing to throw.

Now it's even past the deadline.....(whistles innocently)

If I have any inspirations, I might see if I can come up with something by the time Vic does.

If he posts after me tonight, I'm so not going to make it. :D
