I hearby decree that the new deadline shall be.... June 15th? Thank Gawd fer that - 'cause I'm really struggling! First time I've tried jamming to anything like this....I've got a couple of loose takes done, but basically they're musical diarrhoea.

Hey, Dan, you should have called this one "Dan T's Inferno".....I'm having a hell of a time with it!

Right - back to the guitar!

:D :D :D

I found this a bit of a toughy as well, Vic. In view of the extended deadline I may give it another go if I get chance. If not I've got something posted so it's not the end of the world. I'll definitely come back to this at some point in the future though.

Vic, you might try recording it in smaller sections instead of playing it all the way through.Thats how I approached it.
Also you might try a capo ion the 2nd fret. Then you just play around the Am chord shape(It would of course be in Bm)
Just something I learned from a bluegrass player 8)

It just gets better, TRGuitar & his boy Thunderfingers have joined the Jam and submitted a killer jam track! 8) Wait until you all hear this one... it's reported that much Miller Lite was involved in the composing process!

Guys, it is with great regret that I may have to pull out of this one....and anything else I'm working on at the moment.

My PC is ailing and won't boot as of last night. I have no idea what the problem is yet but it's going to put me back quite a while. Especially if I can't recover my existing data, including all my songs I was starting to back up but never got finished.

This just occured last night and I haven't even begun to troubleshoot it yet.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks, Dan. I was in the middle of recording some tracks in Audacity and the prog stopped responding. Then after reboot, I could get to desktop but I only get one click and then no response at all. I've not run into this problem in my 15 years of IT experience.

I worked on it for about 4 hours last night and during that time I also lost Video. So I'm hoping the video card cashed in on itself. Not that I'm hoping it's the vid card cuz the one I have in there was terribly expensive, since this was purchased as a gaming computer. The vid card I have is as expensive and an MIA Tele. So that also means no Tele if I have to replace the vid card.

I'll know more over the next couple days. Sadly, I have band rehearsal tonight and gig tomorrow night so my next window of opportunity might not be until Saturday. Fortunately, I have a laptop so I can still get to the net but all my music files and projects are on the big boy.

I'll let you know Saturday how I'm getting on.

Don't count me out yet but def don't expect anything too soon. Heck, I can't even play the backing track due to it being in Audacity on my ailing PC. Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Thanks, TR!!

I now have it back up and running with a new hard drive.

Of course all the personality went away with the old drive. So the old drive will NOT boot successfully but it makes a great slave drive now. And I was able to get my data pulled off of it so I don't think I lost any of my last 6 months of projects. That's the life saver.

So...back to the jam. I'll start working on it tomorrow. I have to gig tonight.

PHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dan, I've been playing to your backing track every night for a while now and I've come up with some great ideas for stuff for me that I plan on improving on but have had absolutely not luck in nailing a part for your jam. I'm not done working on it but if everyone else gets finished, move forward with or without me. Tonight is band rehearsal so I won't get much accomplished tonight....(your jam, wise  ) but there's always this weekend.

I'm just blooming with optimism, huh?
