Clazon: I just finished my piece, it's basically the same riff consisting of three notes with some minor variations. If it's a nice riff fourty seconds ain't no problem at all.
Hmm. Maybe I'll try and snag a first place slot as a nice little intro with a little run at the end that would lead into someones solo or more developed part.
But for now, nothing's certain.

Maybe we can use this post and edit it to keep track of where everything's at. ('everything's at' that sounded pretty 60s). Might be helpful for those playing on more than one.

Who needs a signature?
I mean really...
It's almost always lyrics...
or a cliche...
or garbage about me...
Lets just save YOU from the pain, ok?
Anyone else having latency issues? How do you folks get around this? I'm using attenuator line-out to MobilePre USB to PC with Audacity.
I did my recording, time-shifted my part, and ended up accidentally cutting out a fraction of a second's worth of material. So now part of mine lines up, part sounds just slightly off. Oh well, not sure I'll have time to re-record.
"Everybody got to elevate from the norm."
What do you mean? Do you mean your recording ended up slightly too late or do you mean it is actually stretched? If the latter you'll need to re-record, but without knowing why this happened it would probably end up stretched as well.

Slightly too late, I think. :)

Alright, that's fairly common. I'm not sure but try and see if Audacity has an latency-corrector in the settings. If not just drag the track back a little, and if anything goes wrong use the undo function.

Thanks Arjen - I've read that it has latency correction, but I can't find it. I'm using the latest version (1.3.2b). :(
C'est la vie.

What's that line from Blues Brothers 2000?
Eeh...we can take 'em... ;)
And now Funkalicious!
Oh, sidenote Margaret: duff has his part done and submitted too
Well I just found a post about latency by our own Kalle on the Audacity forum:

Hi everybody
I have had exactly the same problem with Audacity
(together with my 3 years old 1800 MHz/512 MB RAM XP PC).
That the second recorded track is not only delayed, it also slowly change speed.
The problem is a type of latency that appeares with some types of soundcards.
I am using a Soundblaster Live! 24 bit PCI card and a the intregrated soundcard function on Nvidia Motherboard. Both o them has this "latency" problem.
I solved by using another recording SW; Kristal Audio Engine and the ASIO 2 driver Asio4All.
My guess is that it is the use of a ASIO 2 driver that solves this type of "latency" problem.
Sorry to say but Audacity does not support ASIO 2 drivers (licens reasons) and I dont know if Audacity uses the old Windows MME sound driver or the newer Windows WDM sound driver.
I think I will try Kristal next time ...
Sorry for the diversion; back on topic now: Still need one more '51 player for Team 451. :)

Isn't Bish's name on the '51 owners roll call?
He did say he'd fill the fourth slot on a team if needed.
A logical draft pick, I'd say.

Well just sent mine in. I was suppose to send it to you right Bish? I am completely confused at this point
Immature? Of course I'm immature Einstein, I'm 50 and in a Rock and ROll band.

I have my part finished ( at least the first try).
To whom shall I send my solo track ?
Email it to Bish
