Lose 20lbs = That niffty Les Paul on Ebay
Ummmmmmm............Yeah, "nifty" and "Les Paul" should not be used in the same sentence (except this one :P ).
It's just weird..........
I hate my bicycle.
6 down, 94 to go.
Oh, and my Sr. baseball team may move up a bracket...where we belong. :)

Been about a week since we heard from anybody here.
Wha' hap, peeps??
Sticking to the program?
I'm holding steady at the moment. Walking 2.5 - 2.75 miles daily. 35 pounds gone, would love to lose another 15 but it gets tougher as I go along.
Having broccoli, cauliflower, or green beans cooked from fresh nearly every day. Once you get hooked on veggies cooked from fresh you'll never go back to frozen or canned.
Figured I should try some fresh brussels sprouts before the summer ended. Ummm, interesting. The family vacated the house due to the smell of them cooking. At $3.99 a pound they ought to taste better than that. :x
Got a good pat-on-the-back for my weightloss/health improvement from a doctor I hadn't seen since November. :D
Anyone else care to report?

Well, I suppose I have some to report. I started dieting back in the middle of July. To date I'm down 20 pounds! My target is about 15 more and I think I'll be able to hit it within a few months.
It feels so much better getting this back under control. It happens over time and you don't realize how far you've let yourself go until one day you look down and go "UGH!"
I've even started doing yoga classes at the gym my wife and I joined. I'm enjoying those a lot!
11 down, 89 to go.

I'm down 32 pounds. Figure about 25-35 more to go.
Good job, everybody!

Ain't it the truth!

Two more weeks but only one more pound off, so that's ten pounds in ten weeks. I should be looking at it positively (Margaret will tell me I've lost twenty percent of my goal so far) and I'll try to do so. At least I've not gained any of it back this time out...
Peace

A pound a week is excellent! Good job.
Another positive to focus on is that if you're exercising, you're building muscle while trimming the other stuff, so the scale may not reflect your true progress. Muscle weighs way more than fat, and burns more calories than fat, (not to mention that it looks a heckuva lot better on  ) but you all knew that.

September is flying by....we're nearly three-quarters of the way through the year!
Are we still having fun? :D

I'm hanging steady. I've got a new boss at work. She is fine, but the workload is enormous while she cleans up. Health is taking a back burner temporarily.
I'll be back on track soon.
Still at 11. Bored out of my skull at work and eating because of it.

Even if you don't have time for extensive workouts, I do hope you're eating your brain food, Nick. Gotta be sharp for that new instrument you've taken up.

Being bored at work is awful, isn't it? Just remember, the vending machines are not your friends! Pack a bag with some crunchy raw veggies or fresh fruit, some whole grain crackers and a bottle of iced green tea. :D
Hang in there! The benefits are worth it. I'm almost 40 lbs down and feeling so much healthier as a result.

WOW, that's fantastic. Keep up the awesome work! Show some photos....(can I ask that here?)

Two more weeks and three more pounds, so that's thirteen off so far. Not in the same league as the others yet, but making steady progress, which is a huge difference than earlier this year.
Thanks to Nick, Maragaret and everyone for keeping this thread active and for being such inspiring examples!
