LOL, I ran across this video on YouTube, hilarious.

Every guitar player can relate to this, learning guitar is very similar to learning to ride a bicycle. At first you can't even get your foot on the pedal before you crash. Then you get your foot on the pedal, but before you can push it down, you crash. :D
Yep, crash, crash, crash, we probably all went through this.
But you just keep at it, and you do a little better each time. And then suddenly it seems very easy.
Gotta say though, this kid's parents are not really thinking. Teaching the kid to ride right in front of a large pole is not too smart.
Anyway, this is for all those who feel a little frustrated and overwhelmed with guitar. Just gotta get back on and stay with it.
If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
Thanks Wes! Sometimes I feel as you describe. Mainly when I don't play something (a study or a chord progression) for a time and when I try to play it again I've forgotten all. Also when I try to learn a new lick.
Today was one of these days. :(
Tomorrow will be another day. I guess...
Thanks!
lmao at the parents letting the kid practice there.
Great analogy Wes, and you are so right. ;)
If only learning guitar was as easy as learning to ride a bicycle, and as hard to forget. Ironically I took my bike out the other day for a long ride, and plan to do a lot more riding. I take my guitar out every day for a short ride and never get to far
