Salut à tous,
Juste un petit message pour vous faire part de l'existence de mon site Slide&Steel il présente notamment le mémoire de maîtrise de musicologie que j'avais réalisé sur les débuts de la guitar slide dans le blues et la musique hawaïenne (quelques parties manquent encore comme celle dévolue aux weissenborn et consort). Il y a aussi une partie présentant tous les luthiers construisant des copies de weissenborn que j'ai pu recensé.
Si vous avez des remarques, critiques, correctifs ou conseils, n'ésitez pas...

Man this is an english forum - you should write in english and not french.

oups! Sorry I copy and past from the wrong sentence. It was just to say I opened a site about slide guitar. unfortunately, it's only in french at this time, maybe one day I'll translate it, but for now it can interest French-speaking people. It's my thesis about the begining of slide guitar. The site is not finished yet (few parts are missing for the moment)

If someone wants to see it that does not speak French, put the site URL into google, then click on the translate this page. The translation is a little bit funky, but it works.
I'm far too lazy to learn another language at the moment.
Our songs also have the standard pop format: Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, solo, bad solo. All in all, I think we sound like The Knack and the Bay City Rollers being molested by Black Flag and Black Sabbath.

Technically, the language is music, and I refused to learn that when I was supposed to in highschool band ;)
You are correct though. However, I know the language for the most part. Now, I'm learning to finesse it (for those of you who are famaliar with at least latin translating).
