9/34- "The Death of Friends" Now "The Cycle" new recording

I'm looking for comments on the song, the performance and the recording on this.
Performance: Your voice is very good for the story telling genre. :D
Recording: Very clean. Nice; especially on the vocals.

Personal preference-I could stand to have the volume down on the guitar and be sure to check/get a tuner before you record. Sometimes the strings will go slightly out of tune because of a change in room temperature or some other reason....so your low string is slightly sharp and keeps drawing me away from the song and message. The guitar slightly out of tune kind of fits the theme, but you want to be sure it's done purposefully and not unintentionally.

Maybe most won't notice.....I know from my little recording experience in a studio you have so many things on your mind and you are hearing your guitar in a new environment. So I'm not one to favor electronic tuners normally, but in some situations they can be a good back up; especially when you've got a lot going on.

I use the capo on the second fret on this song. I think that I tuned up but then added the capo and didn't think to retune. :oops:
