...... but one thing I learned with the song "Out of Date". Even if you feel someone else has done it and done it better, just push on. Even if it is going to sound like your old stuff or like a rip off from someone else; just do it. There is always something to learn.....I usually post my new songs on twitter. I was surprised that for the first time someone was kind enough to "retweet" this song.....which means he told his followers 200+ to check out the song.....not that they all will, but the point is, just make the song and get it out there....you can't really anticipate what the response will be.

But that's not to say this topic wasn't hard. I googled quotes about dentists.....not a lot of stuff on the subject.....so I thought humor was about the only route to go, but then just experimented with a more general point of view and kept in mind to keep the lyrics simple and repetitive......

I didn't know of the humor clips you mentioned, so I will have to check them out.

Hey, we've still got two days, wrote my first for FAWM yesterday, direct result from object writing and single note melody plucking first (thxs James!). I have some ideas for the dental visit song, working to songs & need to do some object writing/free association on the visit. In addition to describing what I experienced with sight senses, what did it smell like, what did the things placed in my mouth taste like, how did I feel inside before/during/after the dental procedures? What did it feel like sitting in the chair? What are those funny looking metal instruments? Why are they working on me and carrying on a conversation like I'm not even there, etc. could also even borrow a bit of those sensations from other medical office visits. Just sharing some ideas, feel free to use, I hope it sparks something.
