Well, here it is.

After reading all the earlier posts and all of Nick's "60-seconds" comments, I really tried to get the imagery. It's a mix of visual and auditory words associated with Halloween/horror. I'm still working on imputting even more imagery, but I wanted to post this in the meanwhile to get some suggestions and feedback.
Please, I'd love to hear any ideas you might have...

First off, my list of words:
Empty house, windows rattling, creaky floorboards, stormy night, thunder, tomb, lightning, goosebumps, glowing eyes, heavy breathing, legs of lead, power outage, whispers, knife, clammy hand

Now, the song:

Empty House

[V1]
Stormy night, Dad's on business in L.A.
Mom calls home to say she's working late today.
Mike yells, “bye” and slams the door
I'm not safe here anymore.
Why I'm worried, I can't say.

CHORUS:
Empty house is laced with gloom
Danger lurks in every room.
Windows rattle, floorboards creak –
Bound. For. Doom.

[V2]
Look outside: thunder booms, and rain bombs fall,
Trapped inside this empty tomb I feel so small.
See the jagged lightning crack
Goosebumps running down my back,
Hear a clatter down the hall.

CHORUS

[V3]
Frozen here, by the light of the TV
In the darkness, glowing eyes are watching me.
Heavy breathing near my head,
Someone wants to see me dead.
Legs are lead, and I can't flee.

CHORUS

[V4]
With a fizz, power's out; I fill with fear,
Hear a haunted, hollow whisper in my ear
Feel a knife blade nick my chin
Clammy hand against my skin
Now, I think my end is near…
     My end is here…

Good imagery and it works.

Only spot that stopped me was the "rain bomb". :-X

Hmm, good point. I agree that the "rain bomb" line is sort of shaky.

I'm working on some alternative...
