I was searching the net for some info on banjo picking and Google directed me right back here to good old guitarnoise.com!
Turns out there are three lessons here by Russ Sprouse which I never knew about:
and they certainly live up to GN's reputation for top class teaching material!
It took all of 5 minutes for me to retune two strings on my acoustic and start learning some banjo rolls. I have recently been influenced by this style and wanted to incorporate it into my playing. I couldn't have found a better place to start.
I highly recommend anyone who is mildly interested in fingerpicking or bluegrass styles to check out these lessons!
