I was taking a look at the new Variax 300($500) and that came into a range that I can afford. Does the 300 series have the same electronics as the 500 and 700? If so, how do they sound? Anybody have any experiance with them? thanks. 8)

I'm not quite sure what to think of it. Did sound awesome in a store (the 500, that is), and I guess noone will notice the difference in a live situation. Not really sure if the differences will become obvious in a studio or not.

I have the 500 (I got it when it came out). Its a great guitar. I use it daily.
The 300 looks to be the same guitar in a new package, which is very much so desired by me.
I dont like the way the 500 feels that much, I am going to change the neck once I get some money.
I believe this is Line 6's reply to the 500 owners that have voiced their beefs with the 500's neck.
Id say get it depending on the price. You could just get a used 500 for cheaper and then use the money to get an even better neck than the 300 has.
