My nephew, who already has 10-11 guitars, including a 1962 Strat re-issue, picked up one of these from a friend of a friend.........

It's a 1970's era Gibson S-1 - les Paul body, Flying V neck - 3 single coil pups....

oh yeah - he paid $200.00

Its a great thing when you realize you still have the ability to surprise yourself.

Holy Crap. How do people find these deals?

A friend of mine bought a box of parts for like $25 or something like that. Started putting things together, called Ibanez for a part and discovered he was a pick-guard away from a $1,000 axe.

Come on! when you have 10-11 guitars it goes without saying you can smell a deal 700 miles away!!!

Yeah, I'm guessing that he's been around the block a few times.
