My Low E was buzzing like crazy when played open and only when Tuned to E. D#, it was fine...I don't know.

So I replaced the strings with Mediums...still buzzed...went back because I found I HATE mediums, to a Light gague string.

I noticed that the Bridge pin wasn't sitting right on the E string, like it was trying to come out, but it was no where near coming out, but tilted back just a tiny bit. So when I went back, I switched the pin with that of another string and it's fixed.

I also adjusted the truss rod (first time, it was nerve racking) to help with the action a bit. Now it plays like a dream.

Sorry for the rambling, just wondering.

Oh, the strings I put on were the extra set of strings from Epiphone you get in the pack (I've had this set almost two years un-opened, and love the sound they have..who knew)

yes. in some cases, after a string is tightened and tuned, a bridge pin can even be pulled out without dislodging the string. it all depends on exactly how the ball-end sits against the bridge plate (inside) and how much of a groove the string sits in going through the bridge, top and bridge plate.

so again: yep.

Thanks!

I figured that may have been the issue, but just wasn't sure if that was even a viable thought.
