Hey, I'm thinking about getting rid of my amp, and putting the money towards one with maybe 50 or 60 watts, and that has the tone I'm looking for plus a jack for cabinet extensions or what not. Cause I plan on wanting more power for jamming, and more then likely there will be drums , and I'll be playing some lead, and rhythm guitar, so I need it to cut through good. So I wanted the amp for now, and then a maybe 2x12" cabinet after. What would be a good amp to get. I play like pearl jam to tool, to classic rock to some original stuff. Anyone got an idea?
Thanks

Why not look at a combo 2X12? You could get a Marshall TSL 602 that is 60 watt all tube. If needed later, you can plug it into a larger cabinet. Although it should be plenty loud for all but the largest venues as is. Good tone and three channels.

You'll find most amps will have ext. speaker out jacks. 2x12's cabinets will give you plenty air pressure. their easier to tote around than 4x12 cabinets.  Amps are more of a matter of personal choice of what sound and tone. If I would recomend a marshall 1/2 stack but it may not be what your wanting.
