Ok, being as I'm really a guitarist, and i've not got much money to spend on my bass, and I need a pedal tuner, and a compressor and some sort of overdrive for my bass, I think the best thing really is a low price multi effect. The extra effects would be nice to play with a bit too...
There seem to be quite a few decent ones on the market these days, Alesis Bass FX, Zoom 506 2, Digitech BP50 and so on.
Does anyone have any experience with any of these? any favourites?
Any input would be most appreciated

Hi , I am also a guitar player that sometimes needs to play bass when recording , and I have a Zoom 506 for that purpose.
I find it quite poor to be honest , although it does have compression , overdrive , other fx and a tuner.I usually end up DI into the preamp instead.
