Glad to hear that things are looking up for you Roy. :D

Great news bro! Sending some positive energy your way. Soon you will have the amps cranked up to 11. 8)

Hey Roy, was wondering how things were going for you. Sounds like things are headed in the right direction.

Yeah, I'm not doing a whole lot of stupid things.
Good to hear that you're recovering Roy, and taking it gently.
Wishing you a speedy recovery, and a return to doing slightly crazy things again though. Somehow the thought of rparker being prevented from his usual full-on approach to life seems 'against nature'...
Cheers,
Chris
I was sent to pain pros per my ENT Surgeon and my Doctor. These are the ones that deal with this stuff. I got set up on the new stuff. Stinks on ice. I'm many times more confused than before, and have not had a single pain free minute. I'm going to war with them tomorrow. So, I'll hope fo be back around, again, in a few days once all this settles.

"I wonder if a composer ever intentionally composed a piece that was physically impossible to play and stuck it away to be found years later after his death, knowing it would forever drive perfectionist musicians crazy." - George Carlin
WW3 has commenced. I've been unofficially advised by a doctor and a nursing director to report these folks to a med board. New med made me incredibly sick on a med that's only been on the market a few weeks and they refused to see me until I've taken it for two weeks or submit to an expensive procedure that a regular doctors office can do without all the IV knock-out stuff making a common task a major production. In short, a major rip-off. Way too many unethical things to mention and not the right place anyhow. For every 50-100-1000 ethical and professional good medical pros, there's going to be a con-artist or two to worry about. Be careful, everyone. There are a ton of good folks out there practicing, but once in a while a pure profit center will soil the reputation of an entire profession.

Roy, I thought you'd kicked this a while back.
Glad to hear you are on the mend.

It was on the way.... <sigh>

Good to hear things are on the mend, Roy - well, sort of, anyway - maybe not so good to hear about the quacks giving you untested meds. That'd never happen over here, and I'm really surprised it happened to you - I thought America had a really stringent drug-testing policy, one of the strictest sets of testing in the world?
Funny, I've been suffering from hearing loss in my right ear for a couple of weeks - went to the doctors, he said it's basically a build-up of wax - I need my ears syringing, but I've had to put drops in my ears four times a day for the last week or so to soften the wax. Warm olive oil, would you believe! Uncomfortable, and slightly painful now and then - but, I can't even imagine what you've been through. Must have been hell.
Hope things look up for you soon, mate!

"Sometimes the beauty of music can help us all find strength to deal with all the curves life can throw us." (D. Hodge.)
Yeah, they test it pretty thoroughly and the government agency that regulates this stuff, two agencies in this case, make sure it's passed all the tests for harm, reasonable risk profile, etc, before allowing it to be released. It's really not until it reaches the real world that the true nature of it's efficacy is determined. Sometimes things are as advertised and sometimes they are not.
Oh well. Things are generally still on the upswing. Played some guitar the past few days, cooked some steaks last night, etc. My doc is letting me fluctuate what I was taking some and it's helping. Sure is slow progress otherwise.
Keep that ear clean! Of course, mine was clean as a whistle and it still nailed me. I'm a bad example.
