The BB King concert last night was unbelievably great!
There was an opener at this venue, not announced in advance. It was Ronnie Baker Brooks and his band from Chicago, and they ROCKED the blues in the style of SRV. Ronnie is the son of bluesman Lonnie Brooks. I'll be watching to see when they are in the area again!
BB was in FINE form and the 2,250 seat house was brought to its feet over and over throughout the evening. His voice was as beautiful as his guitar playing. The King was backed up by a band of 8 including 2 saxophones, 2 trumpets, keyboards, drums, rhythm guitar and bass. Truly an experience of a lifetime!
My son loved every minute of it, too. Not sure he fully appreciated the opportunity beforehand, but I believe he does now. 8)
Long live the King!

Margaret,
I told you you would enjoy it.
You are a good Mom to give your son an opportunity
to see a true legend. I started bringing my grandson to
Blues Festivals when he was 4. He is now 10 and learning
the sax.
Take Care
